Ở độ tuổi 21-22 và đang là sinh viên của các trường Đại học, nhưng với quan niệm thoáng về tình yêu và hôn nhân, các cặp yêu nhau này đã chọn môtíp... sống thử. Theo họ, sống thử sẽ giúp các cặp yêu nhau nhận biết và phát hiện ra những ưu khuyết điểm của nhau: sở thích, quan điểm về cuộc sống, tình dục, mối quan hệ xã hội, bạn bè... để từ đó sẽ đạt được một cuộc hôn nhân hoàn hảo hơn về sau.
Nhưng tất cả những suy nghĩ và sự thử nghiệm đó đều là chủ quan, khi cuộc sống chung với vô vàn tình huống thực xảy ra đã khiến họ phải nghĩ khác.
